I came across a penny that was struck a good distance off-center. How much potential value does it have?
Thanks

being this off-center, they generally go for about $5.00, maybe 8-10 at the most. Search "off center penny" on ebay and you will get a bunch of results. Did you find this in a regular bank roll, pocket change? VERY nice find if so!

Very nice find. Be sure to crimp down those staple ends with a pliers or something. Would hate to see it cause damage to other your other coins in flips. around 5-10 depending on the person.

I paid $8 for a similar penny at an auction a couple years ago. Paid too much for it in hindsight, but at the time I didn't have any in my collection. Later, I found out that the ones with the date showing are worth more. Mine had the date cut off - all I know is it is 199_ LMC. I think that warsumm's estimate is about right.

I've always like these. I could never find one in a roll but I really wanted one and finally bought one for a few bucks. Nice find.

Thanks for the help everyone. I did find this a long time ago, but I recently unburied it realizing it had a bit of value. I'm glad I took the time to look for it now.
