My first 1908 half eagle. This was a joint anniversary gift to/from my hubby. We decided from this point forward, we would pick a really nice coin that we want and buy it instead of trying to figure out what each other wants. I really like it. I think the pictures do not do it justice.

I've always thought they are a very beautiful coin. Not only did you get a nice gift for one another it's also a financial investment for the future.

I think it's a great photo of a beautiful coin - I'm still working on generating pics myself; may I ask what you used to take your photo?

Magnificent coin! I am also curious what you used to snap that pic. Mine pale in comparison.

This was purchased from an Internet auction, I always download the pictures before it closes to make sure what I bid on is what I get...so they were made by better picture takers than me. Wish I knew, I am still practicing with my Olympus.

We can't wait until next February for our next special purchase together. :)
