I spent a 1926 five cent piece on the weekend, in Oshawa at an auto store- VG-8 with meter scratches. Good luck to someone.

Also released a few George V cents including a 24, an A to small denticles in VF and a couple circulated 1991 caribous. I spent a 67 silver dime at a timmy's in Peterborough and paid for my newspaper with 50 cent nickel pieces.

Cool idea. Hopefully some kids will find them and be inspired to collect.

Good for you, Ugly!!! I do the same in MI with older US coins, gotta love the stares and "huh's" when a clerk sees them as I try to get them into circulation, LOL.

Nice, glenzy1, nice...

Good call, ugly, I pass out coins in 2x2s for Halloween to kids that ring the doorbell.

Hopefully they'll start up new collections. I just hope the banks don't get a hold of them and return them to the mint.
