Took some pic.'s of a buddy's Jetons { fairly sure that's what they are?}. I did some looking around, but haven't found a site i.d. them. Anyone know these or can link me up?

Is Quebec still considered to be a part of Canada? I'm not too sure, let me Google it and find out! (did the BQ win the last election?)

Maybe you'll have better luck than my search. They seem more some commemorative medal for those explorers than anything. They are nickel, not silver. About all he could tell me, about the size of a regular 1/2 dollar, I don't have a scale or very good measuring tools to give more info., sorry.

J A Moisan is a bed&breakfast and fine food store still in operation in Quebec city,
Perhaps you can e-mail them for more info

These are indeed tokens from J.A. Moisan. They struck a few different ones during these years.
In 2008, they printed 2 different banknotes: 300 sous (3$) and 400 sous (4$). They printed 2 others in 2009, but I don't have them.

Go on google maps and enter "695 Rue Saint-Jean, Québec", you'll see the store that's on your coins.

And most of all, it is still a very nice store with quality products, nice spices, teas, chocolate, beers (local microbreweries), meats, cheese, etc. :)
