Tam Valued Member United States 200 Posts	Posted 05/10/2011 7:25 pm Maybe you'll have better luck than my search. They seem more some commemorative medal for those explorers than anything. They are nickel, not silver. About all he could tell me, about the size of a regular 1/2 dollar, I don't have a scale or very good measuring tools to give more info., sorry. In 2008, they printed 2 different banknotes: 300 sous (3$) and 400 sous (4$). They printed 2 others in 2009, but I don't have them. Go on google maps and enter "695 Rue Saint-Jean, Québec", you'll see the store that's on your coins. And most of all, it is still a very nice store with quality products, nice spices, teas, chocolate, beers (local microbreweries), meats, cheese, etc. :) Report this Post to the Staff
