This may be the first of a multi-part installment. Found a jar of old coins in mother-in-law's house when she moved out. I'm not sure if these are authentic, however they were placed in an area with other collectibles. They all seem to be coated with a sealant/protectant, hence a very glossy and smooth surface. Since I have no other coins like these to compare with, I need your opinion and comments. If possibly authentic, please help identify. THANKS!

The first five coins are shown below. I can get exact weights and measurements, but they are all approx. US half-dollar sized.

#1: earlier Byzantine. Can't see much left of the emepror or his titles, but it was an emperor that reigned during an "anno XGII" (= Year 18).

#2: later Byzantine. It's either been double-struck, or stamped on top of an older coin; the NIKE in the reverse inscription ICXC NIKE (Jesus Christ victorious) is severely doubled.

#3: another earlier Byzantine. I think I can read TIbER to the right of the emperor; that would make it Maurice Tiberius. It's from Year 10 (which if my ID of the meperor is correct would be equal to 591-592 AD) and the mint is Nicomedia.

#4: it appears to be an early Roman provincial - the style of the SC letters makes me sure this is an Antioch provincial coin rather than proper Roman, like this coin of Titus - but the style of the lettering on the obverse is even worse; if I saw this one in a scratchtray I'd pass it over as possibly fake, or maybe tooled.

#5: I'm... not sure it's a coin.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
