Hope someone can help mw with this coin. I have to admit iam very uneducated when it comes to the coin buisness. Every since my father passed he left me his coin collection. I do enjoy enjoy researching this stuff and so much to learn. In one of the Franklin books I noticed that this 1958 stands out more than the others, it appears that the lettering is raised more than the others. Any reason for this? Thanks, Mike

Are the others well circulated? Looks like a normal half to me. The bell lines are pretty much gone from what I can tell. At best it may grade out at fine, but more likely a strong vg., possibly cleaned. Just my opinion of course. I do love the Franklins though...was the first set I completed! And welcome to the forum!

Hello Blackpearl, ebay can be a good place to add to your collection but do so with caution. Educate yourself as much as possible on grading, spotting cleaned coins, learning what to look for in fakes etc. There are many good, honest sellers out there but there are also many crooks. I have done business with some of each. Start slow and small and read, read, read! Bob

Appreciate the advise. I am learning every minute about grading and how important it is when purchasing or selling. Thing about ebay is you never know how much over silver price to pay. I figure if you want it bad enough and how rare a coin really is. My plan is to sale a few and purchase those, to complete some of the sets. Thanks again for all your good advise!

Mike
