I purchased this coin a couple years ago on ebay due to the dramatic doubling of the date and the die markings hoping it would be a "diamond in the rough". I know it is a long shot and have a rarity factor of R5 but there are many distinct markings which leans toward a Newcomb 44 such as the strong point from the hair on the forhead and the others on the hair and coronet below star 6 to name a few.

I cannot find any other Large Cent attribution guides other than the Cherry Pickers Guide, so I thought I would leave this one to those more knowledgeable than I am.

If more pictures are needed to make a more accurate attribution, please let me know and let me know how to do it as I could only upload 3 pictures with this post.

Thank you for your time and Have a great Memorial Day Weekend.

Only see one picture, which is a little blurry, but I see something going on with both "1"s. Repunched date?

Thank you Conder, I wish I had the attribution guide so I could compare and contrast.
