I recently purchased a large lot of coins and this 1936 australian penny was among them. I was wondering what its grade and potential value might be since I really dont collect australian coins.

-Thanks,
XoG

Pretty coin. I'm not an expert on Australian, but I'd put it at VF.

I have found this pdf file to very helpful.

http://www.anda.com.au/documents/re...%20coins.pdf

If you can't read it simply google "grading australian coin ANDA" and review the pdf.

Then there is Triton's page

I have that KGV grading guide--it's excellent!
If you'd like an opinion on grade, the crown details suggest a solid VF.
