I found a really nice example of 1986D-1MM-001 last night.

When I looked it up on Coppercoins, there were no die markers noted due to their example being circulated.

Mine was nice enough to pull some markers, so I thought I would list them here.

Obverse:

Reverse:

Mint mark with the RPM to the south:

Die scratch through left side of the lower loop of "8" in the Date:

Die scratches in front of forehead:

Light die scratch through the horizontal bars of "OF" on Reverse:

Curved die scratch in memorial bay 3 to the right of the left planter:

I don't know how many times I have found a nice RPM only to have it be ruined by "road rash," corrosion or some other ailment. Its sure nice to find a problem free example such as this once in a while. Happy searching everyone!

That is that die number. The location/spread slone tell me it is that die. Markers not needed.
