upstate, Very nice! Both Amy and I knew the painting you used for the idea as soon as we saw it. That's the first President I've seen dressed that way, but I'm sure it's happened before. Okay, It's been a while since there's been activity on this contest... deadline for entries is Friday, July 29. Here's an update on the prize packages: Each winner will receive
- Their very own Hobo Nickel! (a present-day amateur, but still...)
- Early 1900s Liberty "V" Nickel
- Late 1930s Buffalo nickel in VG-F grade
- 1913 Type I Buffalo nickel in AG grade
- Early 1980s proof Jefferson Nickel
- Early 1970s uncirculated Jefferson Nickel
- Souvenir from the Philly Mint: US Mint Key Ring to hold a quarter (MS Glacier ATB Quarter from the mint's change machine included)

When I hear hobo nickel, I always think of hobo's and trains. No real story to share, other than I can remember seeing them on occasion walking along the rail road tracks when I was a little kid.  |

I've been reading Wheezydogs post "Knocked down but not out" and just thought he deserved his own Nickel for the great job he's done getting healthy. An inspiration to all of us. Hope you don't mind Wheezy.  |

284 was the weight he was at when the picture was taken. I believe he has lost over 30lb so far. I'm starting myself in Aug. I need to get healtheir.
