Sorry enworb, Just saw your question about my location. I am in Sydney, however unless I go and get coins to search, I do not handle many.

Enlil, I am not sure of mintage of the 50c, but they do not seem all that rare in the coins I have been searching.

Mintage for the first half of 2011 till June 3.96 million, second half of 2011 would be out around October as was last years report. But read other threads to gauge how the mint operates, as it is vague about their minting practices.

My post was a bit of a highjack, so I have removed it. Sorry all.

Hi folks,
Tripped over the CCF at Easter (not sure how I had missed it previously) and I have been amazed at the wealth of knowledge on the site - many hours of informative reading!
Just found my first 2011 5c!

Thank you for the warm welcome!
I live in Sydney.
Having looked at the posts on varieties and errors I think that I am suffering information overload already - not to mention that I now have to go back and see if I have any of them!

Hi Nancy,
Unfortunately, that seems to be the case! I hadn't really been looking for errors and such in the past so there is a little broadening of the field of interest that has opened up - it also helps to know what may be there to find!
Very impressed with your work on the 2001 Federation 20c errors.

Quote: Very impressed with your work on the 2001 Federation 20c errors. Thanks! I have heaps more error coins to get organised, imaged and posted, most denominations. Hardest thing to decide is what to concentrate on next. Masses of $1 to do.

Nancy is a gem! Her contributions to the forum are outstanding. I will have to go back to searching 5c again to find some 2011. Thanks for letting us know they are out there now Pedro.

Happy belated 86th birthday Queen Elizabeth II! Will she break Queen Victoria's record of 63 years on the throne? Just 3 more to tie it!
