Based upon the images provided, I may have to expand my type collection to included a set similar to yours. Very nice indeed!

Very nice! Since I do not upgrade my album coins (once it is in, it is in), I can agree with your decision to leave this set intact.

Nice War Nickels are not that easy to come by. You did great on that set. I'm still looking for a couple of really nice ones to complete mine.

This is a beautiful set. I think if I bought that I would leave it in this holder. I though, have no problem replacing a coin in an album with a better one. A few years ago, I completed the 1938 - 1964 nickel set in Unc, one at a time. It is more fun that way. I think I got all but 3 of the War Nickels for $1 each in Unc (before silver went up), all with at least partial steps. I had to pay $15 for the 1944D though. I just could not find one that I liked. Now you need to finish the rest of the Jeffersons.

I have kept the " War Nickels" in the custom holder. So far I have found 3 UNC War Nickels to put in my Dansco book. I keep a look out for high quality UNC replacements to continue to upgrade the other 8 I need.

Quote: Thats a pretty set! Why is the 1942 S in there crooked? That would drive me crazy! Leave as is and I suggest for storing you put it in a Zip Lock bag and press out all the excess air. That set might be air tight but why take chances. Really nice as is.

Great looking set, glad you posted the pics; I now have to start looking for the same. I really like the holder, also.

At coin shows, coin shops and even at the flea markets I see all sorts of plastic holders with a massive variety of coins in them. Even those constant irritating catalog sales they send you in the mail has those. 1 each of all types of Nickels. All 3 of the 1943 Cents. One of each type of Dime. And on and on and on. HOWEVER, in almost every instance they are beat up, worn, scratched coins that no one would really purchase. Not sure where people get those plastic holders but sure are a lot of them around. This one with the War Nickels looks very professional though. Really nice printing, clear in appearance and apparently tighly made so little to no air can penetrate. I like this one. Sort of what should be mounted on a desk or hung up as a display.

Very nice set - I'd leave them in the holder as is, myself.

Since my birthday is coming up and you all were wanting to know what I would really like. I think a the Capitol Holder with all the Gold Eagles to date to include the fractional bullion would suffice. If that is too cluttered looking, the 1 ozt set to date would be fine.
