Crush gravel for a living (make big rock's into little rock's). It's like playing in big big sandbox, I might never have to grow up.

I trained as a tour guide and still work as one occasionally, but I found I was unable to get enough work to pay the bills throughout the year... so I took an office job with a tour operator. For the past few years I've worked for a cruise line. It's great for getting foreign coins and banknotes, as colleagues are always bringing them back for me. I get to travel myself sometimes, but almost always in the Eurozone nowadays.

Great thread! Air Force (21 years, now retired), retail store Manager for 5 years and now Contractor in the Middle East for a great company. Will be terminating my contract shortly and possibly starting on with another Aerospace Co. in the states.

I'm trying to become a minter. It puts a new twist on the concept of "professional numismatist". (Use your favourite search engine to look for "Luna City Mint", & you can see what I'm doing.)

Have always liked threads like these so I wanna play too.
I work for Starz/Encore cable network in our QC department. We make sure everything that goes to air has no video/audio or close caption errors so... literally, I watch movies and TV shows 40 hours a week 52 weeks a year. I love my job more than any other job I could ever think of. :)

Quote: literally, I watch movies and TV shows 40 hours a week 52 weeks a year. I love my job more than any other job I could ever think of. :) That would drive me batty. My television has been turned on once since last July, to watch a few episodes of Firefly. Each to his own, I guess.

It's funny, I cannot handle watching TV at home now. My poor wife will want to watch a movie or show and I just cringe and say, 'sure, sounds great...' :)

I've got the boring job... I've been in IT for 30+ years... Owning my own coin shop sounds so much better!

Math teacher in a high school. Closer to the end of my career than the beginning. Was out of teaching for some time running a retail business (no it was not coins, nor was it any kind of collectibles)!
