Fifth go round this Thursday, I don't think I've spent $1400 on the Mint's website that wasn't a gold coin, all within 3 months... on 4-28, 5-17, 6-9 & 6-29! My wallet is sure feeling the pinch, but they are really nice in hand. Hope the 2011s are spread further apart than all within 3 months.

I saw some of these on a table in the minting room when I toured the Philly mint a couple of weeks ago!

I just dont understand the logic in releasing these coins just prior to the majority of people getting paid. It almost seems like its on purpose, but why... I'm not sure.

I'm so tapped, the roaches are bringing food into the house. LOL I'm really hoping 2011 is every 2 months, then I might have a shot at a few of them. I'm really getting into them. I can't tell ya how many times they have been in and out of the box..

I think most collectors buy them from the Mint using a CC so the date of release is irrelevant....

I don't understand paying extreme prices for bullion. The market will eventually come crashing down, just like the comm. market was killed in the 1930s, and the silver ingot/rounds was destroyed in the 1970s. Last one holding the bag of silver loses.

I'll probably buy Hood as well as the 2011's. But after that, I will have to take stock (of both silver spot and my wallet) to decide if I want to do the remaining 46. At the very least I'll most likely buy the pucks for the parks I've personally visited and/or have other meaning to me.

And I agree Kopper Ken, the huge margins for numismatic editions of the pucks are crazy. These pucks are going to have to stick around for probably decades to make the silver worth more than what we paid for them.

I was looking back at my records last night, and I spent $24 for ASEs in 1998/99. It took a decade to see a "profit" on those.

If you are buying these as bullion you are wrong right from the start. They were always intended to be a Numismatic issue and are priced that way (yes, a bit high). There is a separate coin issued as bullion and its price IS related to spot silver.

Similar: You wouldn't buy a proof ASE as bullion....well, let me correct myself....I wouldn't buy a proof ASE as bullion. I would buy a bullion ASE...

Mine too, but it's only July and they still have the 2011s to get through, so I doubt this will be the last one we see this year. Maybe they'll spread them out a little further now tho. I hope.

I'm in too. Wish they would spread it out more also, but as long as I can afford to, I'll continue to purchase them.

I sold all the ATB coins I owned. They just seem to be a pain in the you know what to me, not easy to store at all.
