I get that for nickels "full steps" seems to be a big deal. Instead I am trying to put together a set of War Nickels with die cracks. I am not sure how common they are but I already have a couple. I was wondering whether they would command a premium? If so how much? Thanks.

Probably not - die cracks are not usually considered collectible errors unless they're spectacular because they're pretty common. They might be less common on War Nickels because I think the silver alloy is softer than cupronickel.

Die cracks, laminations, Cuds, etc... could be additions or subtractions to the coin, depending on the collector, I purchased a 43-P Jefferson (below) for less than trends value because of a lamination that went into Jefferson's head. I guess it was all about timing...nobody wanted this coin at that particular time.

Thanks. That is what I Thought. I think that 43 P is pretty cool too.
