I think I see mint luster, so EF sounds right! Krause shows $20 in EF, but my catalog from Denmark shows $40, and the book is 11 years old. The 1949 is an iron coin, which no doubt broke the dies quickly. Report this Post to the Staff

Yes there is definitely mint lustre, I think it could even get an AU...very possibly. In regards to the 1949 markka, are die cracks common? I know it is not the best picture but I am 100? sure the line you see running along the "49" part of the date is a die crack. Any value? Report this Post to the Staff

Got this one at a great bargain....looks to be about VF-30......6 dollars....pretty sure this is way under book value. Report this Post to the Staff
