Check out this item on ebay 380364009977.This is getting laughable but not to the buyer who will find out down the road he does not have a diving goose.Ebay will make a lot of money on all the deals and are hoping the ball keeps rolling.

Yeah...its ridiculous...I've seen literally DOZENS of these "DIVING GOOSE" falsely represented coins sold and on top of that people leave positive feedback.
It'll only be their children who will find out that these coins are not real diving geese, once they cash out pop and mom's collection, and they wont care, since they'll take whatever they can get to buy a new Lady Gaga CD :)

It's understandable, check out which T.P.G. company has it slabbed! Glenn

PCGS doesn't call it a diving goose It doesn't appear to be rotated at all Just a seller trying to see if he can squeeze a few extra dollars out of an otherwise common coin http://www.ebay.com/itm/380364009977?ru=http://www.ebay.com:80/sch/i.html%3F_from=R40&_trksid=p3984.m570.l1313&_nkw=380364009977&_sacat=See-All-Categories&_fvi=1&_rdc=1

Glenn...PCGS didn't label it a diving goose :)...
You'll have to find a better example than that to bash PCGS...
Btw...I have a bunch of ICCS certified coins that came back from PCGS as "CLEANED JUNK"...no surprise there ;).
You really should have your collection examined. You may have up to 30% worthless cleaned junk ICCS certified as "A OK"...

That's just a "goose on approach"; the rotated slab doesn't help.

Re:The Diving Goose Is the Diving goose an error coin? I have believed there was one 1967 goose coin. I have one and I like it but it is definitely not diving. Am I missing the point? If I could buy a the goose in a dive, I would pay a good price.

With the photos, you only have to draw a line from top to bottom of the coin on the first photo, transfer it to the second photo, and realize that they are the same amount off from the top of the photo. I really hope no one buys this as the diving goose!

I just scored a PCGS PL 62 Double struck within collar 1967 Canadian Silver dollar for $300. Could this be labled as a Diving Goose as well? The second strike is about 45 degrees off.

No...that's a totally different coin. There are at least three 1967 $1 error coins that are WELL recognized:
1. Diving Goose (45 degree rotation) 2. Double Struck 3. Triple Struck
Nice deal on the double struck. I have the 50c 1967 double struck. I think there is a huge pile of both 50c and $1 double strikes coming up soon on Heritage Auctions...so everyone will get a chance to own one :)

That goose is not diving. He has been cleared for a landing, and is on the approach path. He is watching the bat man on his approach, , and he has a little to much altitude.
