nice pickup. good price too. every once in a while you still find great deals on ebay. just not so much when you sell, since you got listing fee, then final value then paypal then postage.

actually its only for listing fee, I won it from a local coin shop who auctions some stuff online, I just pay when I go in and pick it up so final price is $8 even :)

I recognize the handwriting on that 2x2. It looks like Sean Issac's handwriting from Alliance Coins in Almonte (outside of Ottawa). He usually is a pretty conservative grader, so his coins are often good deals.

Great catch, however you got it. Good to know there are still some good deals out there!

Looks like Bob Armstrongs handwriting. He works part time for Gatewest grading their raw coins. He is also a former I.C.C.S. grader. Glenn

Looks like Bob Armstrong's writing to me as well...Coin seems slightly overgraded, but it is still a nice find:)

Bob grades the same way (grade upper left, denomination in the middle, and date upper right), but I thought his writing was less cursive. Sean Issac's English heritage and penmanship is almost exactly as the picture shown, graded the exact same way. Sean even uses the prefix "about" like Bob does (rather than split grades) - perhaps Sean learned a thing or two from Bob...
Anyhow, sorry to hijack the thread - nice coin!
