No the ding shows on the scanned image also, but if not for the Picture I would not have detected it in the scanned image.

The color variation also helps to obscure it from easy view,, If you dont mind my asking what was the grade of the coin when purchased ?

HJB had it graded MS-60. Here is another picture taken with external lighting (not the camera flash)

That is a much better picture Bryan, and I believe a more true represenative of the color and detail of the coin.

I will tell you that Nohope is the one to ask about these coins,, He is an avid collector of them ,,
