I know there is not an exact date on this but is this set going on sale in October or just announced in October? Would they wait till December to actually sell this?

Are we 100% sure it's a "Five" coin set ? .....

I thought I read on another post, that it was argued to only be a "Two Coin Set".

(Assuming that it will be a "5" coin set) I believe that the "Reverse Proof" could throw this Set over the $400.00 mark, but I voted for under $400.00.
I think the Mint will ride the Silver price wave (always charging well ABOVE spot), and then seeing the "value" of the Reverse Proof, together, their greed and money making prowess will floor everyone on the price they'll charge for this set !
Anyone banking on, just a bit above "spot" as the total price...... will be WAAAAAYYYYY off, IMO.....

But I am definately thinking about pursuing a Set if I can afford it. I missed the last Reverse Proof.....don't wanna miss this one too.

The Mint's announcement on 8/19/11 confirms that the set will contain 5 coins. Two of the coins, (P-marked reverse proof and S-marked uncirculated) can only be had in this set. The other three (W-marked proof, W-marked uncirculated, and no-mark bullion coin) can be had separately.

K, yeah I ended up seeing the quote of the Mint announcement later.

Redardless of cost, this will be a nice one to have I suspect.

In that pic all the coins appear to be proofs...no bullion or burnished seen or even the RP for that matter

Weird....
Rest in Peace

One of the articles showing that picture stated that they were all regular proofs in the picture, as the actual coins for the set weren't ready yet.

I'm getting antsy too! They are releasing the ASE uncirculated tomorrow. That will tide me over until this set is released.

I wonder how many collectors are holding off on buying the '11-W uncirculated that was released today, and waiting for the release of the anniversary set?

Few, I'd guess. I've already got mine on order and will definitely be getting the anniversary set. In fact I'm debating on ordering another '11-W. :)

2011 is the year for silver!

Jeez...You're not kidding. Quite an understatement. In any given calendar year since the mid-90's, I would typically buy about 20-25 oz. of silver during course of the year. This year, from the get go I started out with 25 oz. courtesy of 2010 bullion ATB program, and to date I have amassed more than a 100 oz. of silver. Crazy! I will be ordering my uncirculated along with NP6 next week. (It's the only way I can justify the $20/oz premium on the uncirculated.) Incidentally, the last time I ordered the uncirculated it was $25.95 each. What a difference a mere three year gap makes, and at the time the country was just entering the recession. A different world now.

Indeed. I went through my stash last nite and saw what I was paid for '99 UNC ASEs. Wow.

Except to send the Set in for grading....... I don't think ANYBODY would break up this Set ! .....
If you collect the Uncirc-Burnished or the Bullion or the Proofs or whatever, you wouldn't "hold off on ordering an Uncirc." because you'll have one in this Set !

So, you need the Uncirc-Burnished NOW...... AND the one in the Set right ? ....
