Alas, after reading the comments here I found an excuse to return to the branch today for a small withdrawal. No luck, they were all fresh out. But I did pick up a George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson prez dollar. I search all they had. Oh well, I am still so pumped about this find. It may take a while before I can get someone to look at it. My brother referred me to a guy in town, but I don't see myself getting by there any time soon. It may be the holidays before I can have him look at it. I don't plan on selling it either unless some dire need arises, so I'm in no rush. I told my brother the store and when I mention the teller saying "some lady", he thought I was going to say I found a Presidential wife gold coin, then I told him what it was. My wife also mentioned last night about it being like Charlie finding the golden ticket, so I sang the song and jumped around a bit. Also, she made the comment about it being similar to buying a lotto ticket and winning $900.

And I thought finding silver halves at the bank for face value was great. What you have is just plain disgusting and all I have to say is "AWESOME". Nice find.

Oh my goodness this has got to be the most incredible find I have seen...just think of the odds! Simply incredible..congratulations man! But I must say due to your story I now regret turning down the "gold dollars" that the tellers sometimes offer me when I ask for halves!

So the teller didn't notice the date? Nor the fact that it said 10 dollars? Wow. I don't know what to say.
