Just pay them off as you can then use them and pay off in full each month just to get your credit back and then ask for your rates to be lowered in case you can't pay it all one month

Yep, I've heard it said that, "Being in business means that you work 18 hours a day for yourself so that you don't have to work 8 hours a day for someone else".

Although this is supposed to be a joke, it seems to be true more often than not. The good news is that if you can do this long enough to build a successful business, it is an excellent way to become wealthy.

Bahh.. Successful? Possibly.. Rich? I don't think so. Yeah, I work for myself, but owning a business is a full time gig in the sense that you are working 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Every day I am doing one thing or another weather it is working on getting our name out to attract new customers, or cleaning out the van when it gets slow. There is never a point in your career where you can say "ain't my problem, I am off the clock!"

I think Christmas and silver selling is just for us that own physical silver. The 'big players' probably don't even have Physical but they basically control prices allowing us 'little people' to buy at the lower prices that is good for us at least. Just a thought.

Bahh yourself. Pick up a copy of The Millionaire Next Door by Stanley and Danko. They show many examples of people who got wealthy via starting and running their own businesses. Even Apple Inc. once started as 2 guys in a garage with nothing but a dream.

While you are building the business that is true. If you can build a successful thriving business that you can then sell later on, THAT is where the real money and the time to enjoy it comes in.

Almost forgot... yes, I am buying a little. Sent in an order today for 4 tubes of Maple Leafs at just under $31.50 each. Not at all bad. If the price drops more, I will buy a little more. Got lots of dry powder available and the urge to scratch my silver itch is upon me!

Yes that's good. I read an article that California pension is in bad shape and somehow it will affect all states the article said and the senate was discussing our 401k and iras again. Not sure exactly the intention but article was kind of about getting PMs to protect our $

Always buying if the price is right!

Amazingly enough, I was expecting more availability during the holidays, but not too much available locally at the moment.

Yup! I hope to god that I will never have to be in that position.. I have really bad credit though. I was really immature and I was somehow able to get 3 credit cards @ 18 years old. All of which I maxed out almost instantly. Still paying them off actually (the $1200.. $800 on one card, $400 on the other) and I get raped with interest because of it! They hit me with a 29.99% APR! Ughhhhh..

STOP BUYING PMs!

Spend all your available money on paying down that debt fast! Unless your PMs are going to beat 30%, I doubt you'll find better use for your money.

After premiums on both sides of the transaction, you wont be beating 30%, unless you're a big player and if you're not paying those CC cards, I'm not lumping you in the "playa" category.

Debt should always be number one on the list. I will second stop buying PM's until you get the debt fixed.

I agree 100% on paying off your debt. Right now, the only debt I carry is the mortgage on my house, and we refinanced for 3.875% earlier in the year. We could pay off the remainder if we wanted to but (a) it would drain our back account and (b) I'd rather spend some of that money on silver since silver really could outperform the 3.875% I'm paying for the mortgage.

Speaking of buying, I mentioned this in another thread, but I just bought a bag of BU Peace dollars (100 coins) and, while I was at it, picked up a BU 1921 Peace dollar and a BU 1878-CC Morgan dollar in the process. Now that I've done this, I expect silver to plummet to somewhere below $20/ounce any moment...
