Indian, the one on ebay sold for more than the one sold a few weeks earlier through Heritage auctions. And as far as fees, the most fees he paid for this coin on ebay was $2 to list and $250 final value fee. At Heritage it would have been around $2400. So, which is better?

Seal Think I made a mistake on the ebay fees then. You mean $250.00 is the max. ? I was going by 9% of the total. Plus paypal etc. I have only used Stacks Bowers in the past for higher end stuff. They took 5% so I was happy with that.

The 9% is up to the max of $250. There is still a 2.9% from PayPal, which on $20K would be only $580. So total the seller paid PayPal and ebay is less than $850. I believe Heritage is higher than what you paid with Stack's, but even at 5% you would have paid Stack's a cool $1000. Now add in the fact more people would see the ebay auction than they would if it was sold through HA or Stack's. A WHOLE LOT MORE.

Food for thought in the future. Plus the fact that there was also a buyers premium on mine. I would of made out a lot better with ebay. Even with the discounted fee I got on an oversized NGC slab along with the regular grading service provided by them(SB). Saved me from having to send it out myself etc. Still could of used the same reserve also on ebay. Now I'm sad Instead of getting a lousy $5,600.00 for a total investment of $75.00 (coin included) I could of got a little more. No really, I was thrilled with the whole thing. No need to get greedy.

Anyone hear anything about this over the last seven months? Did it turn up at auction anywhere?

OK the article exists but LCR member BRAD said "Page 24, 25, and 27 are dedicated to Joshua's second find of the extremely rare 1992 D Close AM cent" Nothing here about six, maybe he did eventually find four more but Quote: Now is you still thinks its BS then get some facts straight. oops some of the exchange has been removed.I apologize if I caused this.

@bournepiper Just read the whole topic. Did you end up cracking it out of the PCGS slab, did you sell it, or did you keep it? Please update us. Thank you and congratulations.

Hi. Still have it and it's still in the original slab so far. life's just so busy haven't had the chance to even think about it. It pretty cool to have something that only a few others have. I still can't believe I had found it! Thanks to Coin Community's site I wouldn't have known what to be looking for! A valuable resource for sure. Thanks to everyone's input. Nice to have a hobby that's affordable when looking for errors and varieties in everyday change. I will eventually be looking to sell it. Maybe on ebay. I'll let you know. Not sure what I should expect to sell it for so any suggestions are appreciated, Thanks again.

Well I read that the 92 Philly is rarer than the 92-D so it should fetch a pretty penny.
