New Year, First Album: Jefferson Nickels

While my "official" Jefferson collection ends with 2005, I have most of the new design in 2x2s and when I found out about the first ever West Point-minted nickels, I just had to get them.

I searched everywhere for the uncirculated version before I realised it hasn't come out yet, so I'll have to be satisfied with the proofs for now. What do you think: should they stay in the Mint-sealed bags or go in capsules?

I put mine in the Dansco with the other modern nickels.

I think for a nickel fan such as yourself, capsules are more appropriate.

Good luck with the start of your first Jefferson nickel book. I remember starting my first and how exciting it was to fill slots and also be able to upgrade existing coins. The upgrading subsequently lead to a second book which lead to a third book. I found there to be as much excitement upgrading a coin knowing each book would also be upgraded along the way. It is both fun, a passion, and investment. Enjoy!
