Hi Dearborn.

I thought we could not post ebay links here. Since posting my question, the seller has received negative feedback from buyers stating coins they bought from the seller were counterfeit.

Anyways, since you asked for it, here is the link to the ebay auction:

By the way, here is a different seller (or maybe the same on with a different username) who is selling what appears to be fake 2026 privy quarter coins. The coin pictured just does not seem "right." It has a metallic appearance and the shine does not appear to be the "cartwheel" type:

You cannot post your own ebay sales until you qualify, but others are okay.

The second seller you referenced appears to be using an AI generated image in his listing as well as real images.

Notice that the coin on the white fabric background and in the 2x2 shows the bottom of IBUS obscured by the top of Jefferson's head, which is the correct design.

yes it does - I'm just about done with on line purchases completely what all the garbage on the Bay and the stupid high prices at the mint, I'm getting really 'put off' with it all.

Time to start traveling and seeing coins in hand at coin stores or shows.

just say'in

Not a counterfeit per se, but one heck of a visual misrepresentation. This was buried in four selling categories on ebay. Ended up going for 70$ to someone that is most likely gonna be awfully disappointed when it's delivered.

These are zinc/zinc-alloy replicas that are about 1.5" in diameter. The amount people are charging for these coins is beyond ridiculous.

I suppose that I would also be chapped if I had forked over $172 for this.

Feedback for the second seller:

What do you think the chances of these being the "real deal" are?

Seller claims to be in the United States but I kinda doubt it.

Over 100+ sold at 100$+ a pop equals a 10K$+ "payday"!

Zero. The answer is zero chance.
