1964 Penny Roll Possible Error? - Coin Community Forum

staceyc777 Valued Member Canada 67 Posts	Posted 03/01/2012 11:59 am How common is it for small raised lines coming from denticles to the centre of the coin. Approx 1/2 mm to 1 mm in length. #1 is 3 lines between the E and G in Regina from denticles #2 is between II and DEI 1 raised line #3 is 2 lines above E in Elizabeth pointing to L and above L pointing to E My scanner cant pick these up sorry. Found 2 BU rolls in a box yesterday along with a 66 BU roll. Report this Post to the Staff

DvntMstr Valued Member Canada 223 Posts	Posted 03/01/2012 7:39 pm Its actually quite common and l have several examples of it on 64s. Its the result of die damage and is found in several places. By the G in Regina, around the Gratia, on both the Regina and the Elizabeth, all around the obverse and even a semi circle above the 1 in 1 Cent.
