nlp coins Pillar of the Community United States 2373 Posts	Posted 10/16/2012 10:45 am I stopped by my favorite B&M a couple months ago and the owner slid this coin across the counter to me. It was previously cleaned or came in contact with a chemical that caused the fields to tone a blue and purple. He knew I was looking for this date and acquired it along with some other beauties from a collection. He said "take this and see if you can make it a keeper." Blew me away! It's been sitting on my window sill on an oak board for 2 months. I flipped it about every 2 days. No chemical treatment whatsoever was applied. It seems that natural oxidation has started to cure its problems. What do you think, another couple months? nlp Report this Post to the Staff

I think maybe just a little more time on the window sill would do this coin some good, but I don't think I would let it get too much darker. Report this Post to the Staff
