silverbreath New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 12/09/2012 3:35 pm Some of my oldest us copper. I haven't spent very much time trying to determine varieties though the 1802 I believe is s-226 or 227 but I'm lost when it comes to differentiating between the two. Report this Post to the Staff

silverbreath New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 12/10/2012 12:52 pm Thanks cipster, I believe you're correct after looking into it some more. @Voshus007 it definitely the nicer one of the bunch. Not sure about spray paint but it has some unusual staining going on. Good eye moe, I didn't even notice that. I had to go look at the coin again and you can see it but it's a lot more subtle to the naked eye than in the picture. Report this Post to the Staff

After looking at it again there does appear to be something that looks like it could be a 4 but I think you're probably right. Maybe I'll take some close ups for fun a little later. Both 226 and 227 share the same rev, the incomplete loops of bow rev. 1803 looks like S-250 Half Cents 1804 plain 4 stemless has to be C-13 1805 is medium 5 stemless C-1 Report this Post to the Staff
