To the best of my knowledge, there were no "trial strike" 20 cent coins of any kind made in 1967. There was no need; the 20 cent piece was working well. It was the 50 cent coin that people were having problems with. NumisRob Bedrock of the Community United Kingdom 18031 Posts	Posted 06/04/2014 08:24 am This looks just like the 1947-67 British sixpences, shillings and florins and 1968 - 2009 5p and 10p coins that I find in the UK with my metal detector after they've been buried in the ground. Same metal content as the normal Australian 20c.
