silverdollar2011 Valued Member United States 385 Posts	Posted 06/10/2014 12:54 am Hi guys, I saw this coin on ebay, the seller had it titled as "Faded Date". here is the link to it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/US-3-Cents-...em3ce288d80e I looked at the reverse and it looks like the date is in the 1868/9. In Good Grade, the coin is worth $400+. How much do you guys think this coin would go for considering it's ugly grade. Thanks for your help. Report this Post to the Staff

Arael Pillar of the Community United States 567 Posts	Posted 06/10/2014 01:40 am I think I'm a little out of my depth here, but I have to agree with you based on the reverse, the value will be significantly lower because the date isn't really readable (at least not with these pictures)But considering the value I would definitely bid on it. I would personally go probably up to 15$ maybe a little higher. If I had money to spend I would certainly put a bid on it! Report this Post to the Staff
Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 06/10/2014 07:32 am That is a type 2 piece 1854 - 58. The reverse was the same on both type 2 and type 3. This coin has two outlines around the star so it is type 2. 1868 or 69 would be type 3 with a single outline around the star. This coin is an 1858. Report this Post to the Staff
