How many collect bills with consecutive serial numbers? How many due you keep? I just picked up $200 in $2 bills. I've found a few 5 - 7 note runs of numbers from 2003 and 1995. Wondered how many to keep that are crisp and how many just to turn in.
Any special serial numbers people look for? Like 77777 runs and such?
Like Gold, I look for stars also, older series (before 1995), and nice looking serial numbers. I just got into collecting silver certificates, hawaii and north Africa currency...its damm expensive(for me that is).
You can buy a brick of consecuitive $2.00s on ebay for just over face. A smart seller could break that up into 20 bill runs and make a killing off of folks who don't know where to get them and think it's cool to have in their collection. You could double your investment in a few months....lol ..Not that I've ever done that before or anything. But it is ..easy money.
I keep all the star notes and consecutive numbers even though I never expect a premium for such notes I just keep them because I got them out of circulation and usually they are crisp because they were given from a fresh bundle that has just been put in the cash register
