I have an 1893 RT Dime. My understanding is there is a #5 obverse and a #6 obverse and depending on which one effects the value. What obverse do I have?

Your coin hasn't been certified? Don't know it's source, but beware of counterfeits:

Hard to see any detail with that picture but as there is only one known RT3 with a T5 obverse,
I would make a pretty safe guess that it is a T6 Obverse.

As wildflower AB says, get it certified. Too valuable a coin to
have any doubt about.

This coin has been in my family for 80 years. I have two better photos I'll post shortly. Is their one choice better than another for grading Canadian coins?

If you live in the states and are more familiar with PCGS or NGC, those are both well respected and recognized companies for grading Canadian coins.

Many Canadians prefer ICCS, but if you are just sending one coin, it might not be worth the trouble learning the process of submissions.

On the other hand you don't need a membership to submit to ICCS, as you do with PCGS or NGC.
Theres pros and cons of both - no "right answer" for a 3rd party grading company for Canadian coins

Also if you're just curious what it grades at, you can post closeup pictures on the Canadian Grading sub-forum, and we can help grade it for you.
