I just bought this coin at auction and it sure looks like it's the rare NF2 obverse. I'm no good at discerning the minute differences in the hair styles from the obverse 2 and 3. However, there's definitely no dots before and after 'Newfoundland' which leads me to believe I might have the good one. Any help in confirming this would be appreciated. Thanks.

It also looks like a doubled last 8 on the lower right corner.

Thank you DBM and SHAFTA9a for your input. I did notice the doubling on the last 8 but don't know if this is a common feature on this variety or not.

No no...i wanted this coin to publish in my book...but I did not win the original auction and didnt' chase it the 2nd time around when it was double/triple the price...

This is a rare and very very underrated coin. From a "pop" count it's in the same categories as the 1873, 1873h, and 1885. The prices really need to be adjusted on this one.
