Tiny California Gold, Any Info Appreciated!

He came in today with some coins that his father inherited from his Dad (my friends grandfather). I will be posting some of the other coins as well. Two of these coins are California gold fractionals? I have read about them, but never seen them. I am hoping someone here can give me some info on the coins so I can pass it on to him. The coins are tiny, the first one I am posting is 1 cm in dia, and very thin. The 2nd is 1.2 cm in dia, and neither one would register on my cheap scales. The 2 together registered as .01 oz.
