I thought to myself: this coin has been posted somewhere on here before; maybe it was identified then? Apparently not.

Good thing you posted it again though, because I found something very similar. What you have is probably some sort of marriage token from Iran (see here).

Thank you Joseph and yes that's why I gave it it's own thread because it kind of got lost in with the others. I was hoping in this category more experts may get a look at it and someone may recognize it.
