Anyone have a generalized statistic on how often this happens? Thanks!

Nope.

I don't know how much that peso is worth but, it may not be too much off from a U.S. nickel.

That's certainly an interesting roll find and an ender no less!

Yes please open that roll but don't use that screwdriver to pry that peso out .
Kidding aside you can find just about anything that fits into a paper wrap roll . Washers , foreign coins, even buttons .

I would keep that "Bad Boy" wrapped since it is in a Loomis wrapper. It's only $2.00 anyway saved, not spent. No cost involved.

It was wrapped in a N.F. String & Son Co. Wrapper. The dimes were Loomis, which happens to be the first Loomis papers I've opened.

As for the unwrapping of the peso ender roll, I opened it. Couldn't help it

Interesting find. String & son is usually good about taking out strange coins.

@nutmeg - many roll hunters believe that NF String & Son only supply the coin roll wrappers...but they also make and sell industrial coin sorting machines...and napkin bands and table covers...
