Very nice! Congratulations. My set was also from my grandfather in that he had started it when I was small, and as I grew, he and I continued to build it. They all are circulation finds, but we never did get the 32-D and 32-S. I bought those a few years ago to finish the set.
I had a second circulation set that I traded in the late 70s for gold eagle. I had just bought the 32d and 32s in very poor condition to fill the holes, and saw the eagle in the coin dealer's (a personal friend) case. The eagle came home with me. I am sure most of the quarters went into the melt bucket!

Congrats!
I have one complete set, and am only missing the 1932-D and 1932-S from having a second set.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Quote: I have one complete set, and am only missing the 1932-D and 1932-S from having a second set. Nice! I just have one complete set. I finished it before the Statehood Quarters came out, so the 1932-D and 1932-S were relatively inexpensive at the time. Everyone got interested in Washington quarters as a whole after 1999. With demand comes higher prices.

If I were ever in the boat of doing a second set (which I'm not) I couldn't justify buying the 32 D & S again unless they were very worn hole fillers, or if they were at prices I could not refuse. This is the 5th album I've completed. So far my complete albums are the following: -Franklin Halves -Silver Roosevelt dimes 1946-64 -1938-1964 Jefferson nickels (in a classic Whitman album) -Silver Washington quarters 1932-64 -Lincoln Memorial (in a classic Whitman, but the album stops at like 2001, so it's technically just a full album, not a full set) Albums I'm working on: -Dansco 7070 (missing mostly the $$$ items such as Half Cents and Seated dollars.) -Walking Liberty Halves (missing 16 coins) I've also taken a liking to some of the classic Mexican coin designs such as the copper 20 Centavos and the 72% silver Un Peso coins (both from around the 1940s era). I'd like to try for sets of those as it seems fairly inexpensive and I like the designs.

You, there is always room for an Eisenhower dollar set and it will not break the bank.

Jbuck, I've thought about the Ike set before. The thing is that the Walking Liberty halves, I've decided, are my favorite design. I'd really love to plug away at the last 16 coins I need for that one before I get into Ikes. Back on topic, if anyone else wants to show their Washington set, feel free to post pics or links in my thread here. I'd love to see yours as well.

Terrific accomplishment mail187man! I'm working on the same set. Quote:Nice going and big accomplishment . I'm working on my silver Washington set also . Only 4 more to go. Which ones and what condition Tony? P.S. I wonder if there is a "Post Your Complete Washington quarter Set" thread here? I'll have to look.
