This is a 1982 no mint mark and its copper. Are these common? Thanks!

Yes, very common. The one you want is a 1982-D small date copper.
Rest in Peace

About as rare as finding Shield cents with milk spots! VERY common, a bit harderer in nicer condition tho.

RCB, I still am skeptical of finding multiple 1982D sm date coppers in circulation. That one found last year is a fluke, possibly one-of-a-kind anamoly. There would surely be more found if a loading bin of copper blanks was mistakenly put into the production line...at least by now, 35 years later!

I agree that it is very rare and may be unique, but considering that several BILLION pennies were made in 1982, doesn't it seem unlikely that a die would strike only one coin before being discovered? It seems like a quantity over quality thing: if billions were produced, there is likely more than one that had that specific error.
