A mule perhaps ? Obv. (D) CL SEPT AL - BIN CAES Bare head bust of Clodius Albinus right Rv. (ANN)O(N)A AVG COS II (P P) ? Annona standing left holding corn ears and cornucopia 19.38 grams 28-9mm Of the obverse I am 100% sure The reverse is as yet 'theory' But the only theory that seems to work ! Opinions ? I thought it odd that the reverse would read AVG COS II so I suspected something amiss acsearch didn't help either as it does not record a single Annona standing type for Clodius ! So I suspected it might have a Septimius reverse (hence the P P which I inferred) I think it safe to assume it is not a very common type Many thanks Report this Post to the Staff
