I've gone to nearly $11 for a roll of Mercury dimes, but usually in bulk so you get a better price per coin when shipped.

Yeah, right, a roll of how many coins? What are you talking about? Is there a roll of 10 coins or something? Normally 50 dimes to a roll and you get Merc's for $11.
And as to unsearched rolls. This never ends. THINK. How could anyone say they have a roll of unsearched anything if they didn't look first to see what they were. If I said I have a roll of 1955 Lincoln Cents but I never looked at them, wouldn't you THINK I'm lying? How would I know what they are if I didn't search first?

Sorry, I got a roll in 5 lots of 10 at an average price of $11 for 10 coins ($55/roll), including shipping and in one of the lots I was able to pull out the '39-S

I recently bought a large 357 roll lot of wheat cents off of ebay. All were in the 1940's and 1950's. 250 rolls were S mints and the other rolls were P/D. All said and done I paid about 3.6 cents each. Lots of EF and AU coins. Over 90% of the rolls are in wrappers from a bank in California dated 1963. I figured I was just going to buy them and move them out quickly for a nice profit, but I have searched about 4 dozen rolls so far and have found around 30 or so varieties and all the rolls from 1958 are cherry red BU. I am now going to search them all. So all in all,I think I made out pretty well.
