Please shed some light on what is a "friendly eagle"? Is there also an opposite.. "hostile eagle"?

Thanks for the great response everyone! And Tim....believe me, I would NEVER buy from MikesCoins. I've heard the tales of misery and woe that have resulted from purchases from MikesCoins. It's good that we keep getting the word out about him, I'd like to see the day where he has no business because of what a terrible seller he is. Now I have to try to get some pics up here

Was this coin listed as a friendly eagle or is there more of a premium on this variety? Just learning about the friendlier eagle

It actually wasn't listed as a Friendly Eagle. I was able to recognize it from info I found on Ikegroup.org. There is a premium on this variety, but I'm not sure on prices for it.

Yeah, it took some studying on my part, but now I can tell them on sight. It's definitely worth it. I;m not sure what the FEV is exactly valued at, I'm hoping somone on the boards knows.

Great find! For the present value of the FEV I would put these values: MS64 = $100-$125 MS65 = $125-$200 MS66 = $750-$1,000 These ranges depend on the die state and whether or not the Rev (Re-Entry Vehicle) is still visible. It is VERY RARE to find a clashed die FEV! Only a few are known to exist. Happy Hunting! Brian
