2022 Silver American Eagle Mint Error?

Thanks for the welcome and advice, Jim. Afraid I only have an iPhone camera as the option. Tried to get the detail in this closeup but at that zoom, there is blur. The mark is deeper than it appears and is very rough inside. Almost what you would expect from not enough material being poured into a mold... rather than imprinted or struck.

Could be worth a little more if it's a struck thru which some collect. If it's just damage I'd send it back for refund or replacement. No way to give opinion without better close up pics. Do a Google search for what struck thru looks like, buy a loop magnifier if you don't have one so you can see the edges of the pit.

Check out the topic "2021 S Morgan Fresh From The Fulfillment Center." There's pics of struck thru the owners sent to be graded and verified as struck thru. After you determine if yours is struck thru you could then decide if you want to spend the money to send it in for grading and error verification to one of the major grading companies like PCGS, NGC, etc. Small struck thrus usually don't add much value IMO.
