Thank you John1 on the way to the site. Quote: It's a long center arrow nock which makes it a B/A or B1 reverse type. This one happens to be a B/A reverse 7/0 tail feathers VAM-30. http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.c...878-P_VAM-30 Many thanks dave700x

Quote: Underlying 8 tail feather design shifted left with four talons on left and right shifted left by width of one toe, extra toe at left of eagle's left foot, Taken from the VAM-30 reverse die description. This would be viewers left of eagle's left foot.

from a grading standpoint these photos are are pretty pathetic. either the photos were manipulated to hide the surfaces or the surfaces have been stripped off on both sides. the coin could be AU58 or maybe as high as MS63 and a details designation is highly possible

Quote: thanks dave700x it is aplly to 7 tf also? The "Underlying 8 tail feather design" refers to all of the reverse die design elements not just the number of tail feathers. The 8tf reverse design was modified with the 7tf reverse design and some of the 8tf design elements remained. The extra toe is from the 8tf design.

Quote: is it offer for $100. I had a plan to add her to my collection. what do you think? $100 would be full retail for a non-problem coin in AU58. i would pass on this one. its the most available of 87's. you can do better and without decent photos of both sides if it's less than 58 you would be overpaying for it. you have no idea what these photos are hiding.

Spike Eye! Need better photos as stated but looks AU details/cleaned or way overdipped. $100 is way too much, it is a popular VAM but not a particularly rare one, and you can buy problem-free Unc slabbed examples of the same VAM for $150 or less.
