Hello I am new to posting on this forum so thanks for having me. I recently found a 1955s dime that I think has double lips I had the image zoomed in and just happened to notice the lips looked doubled and after searching for info I found very little info about it or possible value. Can anyone help me with any info? Edited by Weatherman 07/01/2022 3:38 pm

Machine Doubling. Note the 'L' on Liberty is showing the same thing. Not a dime variety. The devices on the motto appear larger, but is probably flattening from vending machines through the years. Still a silver melt coin.

I have a second one I haven't put under the microscope that appears to be more pronounced than this one with lips forehead and nose and nothing on liberty. I wasn't talking about the lettering. I will try to post the other dime after work. Both dimes are from the same obw of 55s'

Make sure your photos of full of the entire coin face, both sides, and sharp close ups of areas of interest.
