1983-P Penny Reverse Error - Coin Community Forum

Noticed on the reverse it had die breaks at three corners of the memorial. And I think die gouges at the bottom. Then the other pictures show what I'm realy interested in. (Also glue will be raised on the surface of the coin) Level with fields could be a stain from anther coin in a cup holder in a car. Hobbs9 Valued Member United States 53 Posts	Posted 08/31/2022 11:20 am As others have said, the marks by the C are minor die cracks (internal die break). The spot by the A is corrosion (zinc rot). The copper plating was breached and the underlying zinc is corroding Report this Post to the Staff
