Came across this at a recent visit to a local shop. Thoughts on the "Crown". There is also a crack on the obverse across the lower bust and along the lower rim.

It's either a contact mark from another coin as noted above...

or the Loch Ness Monster. It's getting close to Halloween, so Nessie may be on the prowl again.
