Just wondering if there would be any value to these 3 bills due to their serial numbers, I went online and 2 of them scored a %94 and scored %98 not even sure if that means anything lol. Thought I'd come ask the wise ones.
The coolness factor doesn't really relate to collector value, especially when they are damaged, although some bidiot on eBay may pay a premium. Any increase in value would not keep up with inflation so I would spend them.
The first has 3 pairs of doubles which sells for a small premium over face value if you look at ebay sold listings but is on a common modern note as well as not uncirculated so nothing major. The third has 5 of a kind lucky 8s and also sells for a very small premium over face, however also being a $20 rather than a $1 it may not be worthwhile to hold onto unless you collect those type of notes or happen to have a ebay account and choose to list these for a possible quick small profit rather than spend. I kept a few 6 of a kind lucky 8s with interesting #s such as 88881828 but generally they arent going to let you retire early so keep playing powerball! Whether its worthwhile to take the time to sell these low premium finds is really up to the finder.
The serial numbers are interesting at best. If you collect strictly from circulation and like them, then keep them. Most serious collectors wouldn't think twice about spending them. The Coolness Factor is rubbish.
