Yours is an impressive example on a clean (albeit fingerprint) brown XF range cent. IMO a struck through would impart on the coins surfaces the texture/shape of the object that was between the coin and the die. As a result the devices on that section of the die would never 'see' the surfaces. The OP coin clearly has the G from GOD and Lincoln ear visible hence I say it's a lamination. But with the ghost image present, I'm leaning towards a lamination issue. If it were a struck through, then the ghost image would not be present. Report this Post to the Staff
Dearborn Moderator United States 99230 Posts	Posted 04/25/2023 3:42 pm Seeing hot the OP mentions that coin weighs only 3.1g, there is a possibly that the scale rounded up to this number, the Coin 'could' weigh 3.05 to 3.14grams. so it could be light.
