But that's just a guess...I'll let the experts chime in Just by my own experience, I only see this sort of thing on a few British Commonwealth coins from 19th to early 20th C. mikediamond Pillar of the Community United States 2740 Posts	Posted 06/01/2009 1:45 pm This might be more accuately characterized as a "split die". As split dies go, it is quite narrow. Some can be over a millimeter in width. I haven't seen this particular split die before, so I suspect it's a rare one. Error coin writer and researcher. Report this Post to the Staff
