The US Mint just released the design for the 2026 year coins:

To me, Mobile Refrigeration is the best design. Norman Borlaug is good as well, but the "Father of the Green Revolution" tagline makes for an overly-crowded design. The Cray-1 Supercomputer is fine for what it is, an admittedly difficult concept to design on a 2D coin. The Steve Jobs design is the worst, mostly because it's just too busy. It's hard to discern his figure amid the background.

which ones are you referring to the OGP or the ones in the Dansco album? and if the Dansco, why not leave them there?
The OGP. I want them in a Dansco. Now, I have half a series in a Dansco with four extra empty pages. I could have held out and made my own custom four page album for them.

Has the mint ever stopped and then restarted a subscription program for one year before?
Do my knowledge, no.

Quote:
Maybe since the Innovation dollars have the 250th privy they will put them all in one big proof set and then restart it next year on its own again.
Interesting thought.

Or maybe also have a bigger set that includes the S mint American Eagle. Maybe that's why they cancelled the subscription since their won't be one for 2026 but resume it in 2027.

I actually like the Cray best, but I like quirky designs. The reefer is a close second.

I agree the design is nice, but I feel that the extra wording has to be there to help educate.

Agreed.

I really hope the come back with both proof and reverse proof so I can keep going with my album.

When one goes to the USM Amer Innov $1 Coin Proof Set Subscription Page, the boilerplate tells us the program has ended and "no further releases are scheduled for this product." So are the proof sets the product or is the subscription the product ? The American Innovation $1 Coin Program hasn't ended, as evidenced by the release of the 2026 designs.

I know it reads like I'm splitting hairs, but there's a slight glimmer of hope the USM will do a proof set (and a reverse proof set ) IF a Coin News article published 10/17, two days after the USM Press Release which described the 2006 designs, is accurate. The Coin News piece regurgitates the USM press release for the most part and throws in this paragraph:

Quote:
Since 2011, dollar coins have not been released into circulation. The U.S. Mint now produces them solely for numismatic products. Subscriptions for several 2026 issues are already open, allowing collectors to automatically receive them upon release. Rolls and bags with the Iowa dollar are expected to go on sale in early January. Additional offerings — including rolls and bags for the remaining designs, as well as proof and reverse proof sets containing all four coins — will follow later in the year.

It could be the author of the Coin News article, Mike Unser, did a lazy cut & paste from an article covering the 2025 releases. For the sake of American Innovation Dollar collectors, I hope Unser's reporting is accurate.

I honestly do not know what to believe and will only be satisfied if and when they end up in my hands.

Ah, ok I guess that is why I made the first album with 4 hole per row custom pages to avoid that issue. Now with the next album, the first page will be with the 4 hole page (2025) and the rest will fit perfectly with the way Dansco had originally designed it (3 holes per row.)

Mine is the 7188—eight pages, P&D (proof and different proof) for the full run, 2018-2032. Four coins per row, so each page holds two years.

If I wanted to keep going, I could complete the remainder with actual P&D innovation dollars and ignore the reverse proof (assuming those are still being made).

I certainly hope not. They are the last holes on that page.

If they do not, oh well. Just one more thing to note in my Book of Grievances to be released in January, 2029.
